Tommy Allen is a native of Indianapolis, IN, where he attended Lawrence Central High School.

Tommy currently resides in Pittsburgh and is a graduate of The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. He holds a bachelors of arts in Fashion Marketing and Management.

Allen is an alumnus of the Pride of Cincinnati (2003-2004), as well as The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (2002-2006), serving as Drum Major for the 2006 Championship season.

2010 marks his 9th year of involvement with the Cavaliers. In addition to his work with the corps, he is the Visual Coordinator for The Norwin High School Band and Guard. He also has the privilege to design for such esteemed programs as, the Pride of Cincinnati, Lawrence Central, Centerville, and Miamisburg high schools.

Currently the Visual Coordinator/drill designer for 7 time DCI World Champion The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, Michael Gaines also designs for some of the top high school marching bands and winter color guards in the country. His designs have been featured by several high school Bands of America National Champions, as well as 3 time WGI World Champion, Pride of Cincinnati.

In addition to his work in the US, Michael has had the opportunity to design for groups on an international level, including two time WGI Bronze Medalist Aimachi Color Guard, and three time WGI Bronze Medalist Aimachi Percussion Ensemble from Nagoya, Japan. He has been an adjudicator and the featured clinician at events around the US, Japan, Thailand, Colombia, and Malaysia.

In April of 2007, Michael was inducted into the WGI Hall of Fame.

His education consists of a degree in Computer Arts/New Media from the San Francisco Academy of Art University, and a degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from the University of Dayton in Ohio.

Michael resides in San Francisco, CA.

Andrew Toth has been a member of the design team for The Cavaliers since 1998, and was a member of the color guard for two years prior. Other performance experience includes the Cadets of Bergen County (1993-1995), Emerald Marquis (1994-1995), Adagio (1996), and the Pride of Cincinnati (1997-1998).

Andrew had the distinct honor of performing as an original cast member the Emmy and Tony award winning production of Blast! in London’s West End in 1999. He continued his role on Broadway in New York City until the show’s closure in 2001.

As an internationally recognized choreographer, Andrew is privileged to have had the opportunity to choreograph for numerous color guards, marching bands, and drum & bugle corps throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. His most recent collaborations abroad include Northern Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), Mahathai Drum & Bugle Corps, Yokohama Inspires Drum & Bugle Corps, and Aimachi winter guard.

Toth is currently a designer for the Pride of Cincinnati winter guard as well as Carmel, Kiski, Marian Catholic, and Stephen F. Austin High Schools. In 2007, Andrew earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he resides today. He plans to continue his education in this field while maintaining his collaborative relationships in pageantry, and his passion and love for Pride.

Brady Sanders,, originally from Oswego Illinois, attended Illinois State University, where he performed with the Illinois State Dance Theater. He also trained and performed with the School of DanceWest Ballet in Naperville. Brady has toured nationally and internationally with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and Thodos Dance Chicago. Recently he performed at the Busan International Dance Festival in South Korea.

Brady’s most recent teaching endeavors include Steven F. Austin High School, Marian Catholic High School, Norwin High School, and the Pride of Cincinnati winter guard. He performed with The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps from 2003 to 2007 and was Co-Guard Sergeant during his last two years. Brady has been privileged to teach The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps since 2008.

Rosie Queen (Miller) has been involved with WGI since 1983, she has extensive experience teaching drum corps, marching bands and winter guards across the country. Rosie was also the visual ensemble and cast manager for the Tony and Emmy award winning show "blast!" while it ran in London, Broadway, and the U.S. Tour.


Rosie has instructed many high school and independent organizations throughout the country including Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard (1997-present), Aimachi (Nagoya, Japan)(1996-present), Carroll High School, Center Grove High School, Avon H.S., and Escapade of Dayton, OH. Other teaching experience includes: Carolina Crown (2003-present), The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (1994-2000), and The Cadets of Bergen County (1993).

Currently, Rosie resides in Indianapolis, IN with her husband Jeff & dog London, where she is the Color Guard Director at Carmel High School. She is also a certified event planner and has a bachelors degree in Special Education.

Bart Woodley has been on the Cavaliers instructional staff 1994-95 and 2000-present. After performing in the Cavalier color guard (1991-1993) and Escapade Winter Guard, he began working with World Class programs such as Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard, Center Grove High School, and Centerville High School. Bart has served many Midwest marching bands and winter guards in various roles: director, coordinator, caption-head, choreographer, drill writer, designer, technician, clinician, and judge.

Bart holds a master’s degree in Public Relations and BA in Advertising from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Currently, Bart is the Marketing Manager for Winter Guard International.

Melissa Ganser is an alumnus of the Pride of Cincinnati (2004-2005) as well as Phantom Regiment (2000-2002) and the Boston Crusaders (2003-2004). She has choreographed for organizations and schools like The Carolina Crown, the Ventures, Americas HS, and Plymouth Canton HS. Melissa is in the midst of teaching the Pride of Cincinnati for a second season.


Melissa currently resides in Chicago where she is pursuing her BFA in Choreography at Columbia College Chicago. She is dancing with the up and coming dance company "We Stand Sideways."

Charlie Gumbert is an alumnus of the Pride of Cincinnati and is currently the director of the  winter guard, a position he has held for the past 10 years.

During his tenure at Pride, they have won three WGI Independent World Championships. Charlie began his teaching with the Star of Indiana in 1993 and continued with Brass Theatre from 1994 -1996.

Toni Twaddell began her experience in the pageantry arts at the age of nine, first marching in the Golden Knights out of Southgate, Kentucky and then “aging-out” as a member of the Pride of Cincinnati Drum and Bugle Corps. (How many people remember those bright yellow tuxedoes?) Although performing as a percussionist, Twaddell began her instructional career as a movement tech., teaching the Pride Drum Corps during its remaining years. Winter Guard became Twaddell’s first love as a staff member of the very first Pride of Cincinnati Winter Guard. Since then she has continued teaching groups such as the Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps, as well as a variety of marching bands and winter guards in Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Georgia and Mississippi.

Today, Twaddell teaches Arts and Humanities at Gray Middle School in Northern Kentucky in addition to her duties as assistant director of Pride,

Twaddell continues to teach movement technique on the high school level and does freelance artwork within the pageantry arts, designing and creating specialized costumes, flags, props and floors.

Chris Wray is originally from Muncie, IN, graduating from Delta HS (1995) and Ball State University (2000) with degrees in elementary and special education. He is currently living in Ft. Wayne, IN teaching multiple high school marching bands and color guards including Bluffton, Heritage, Angola, Carroll, and Heritage Independent. Chris is in his first winter teaching the Pride of Cincinnati where he performed in 1997.

He has been teaching high school marching bands and color guards in the ISSMA, IHSCGA, and WGI circuits since 1996, and he will be returning for his second year teaching the Cavaliers color guard.

For the past 10 years, Jim Moore has served on the BLAST! design team as choreographer and was the principal dancer in BLAST!, Shockwave, Cyberjam, and M.I.X as well as working extensively on training each of the casts in all movement technique. Jim, along with the choreography team, received an Emmy Award in 2001 for the PBS broadcast of BLAST!. They were also nominated for the 2001 Tony award and the 2002 National Broadway Theatre Award for Choreography.

Jim has been dancing professionally for 16 years, beginning his career as a principal dancer with the Georgia Ballet Company. Along with Jim’s ballet career, he has been the choreographer for many world champion winter guards and drum corps including, the Pride of Cincinnati, Emerald Marquis, Santa Clara Vanguard, Cadets of Bergen County, Carolina Crown and Aimachi from Nagoya, Japan.
