About the Pride of Cincinnati

The Pride of Cincinnati exists to offer young people a quality educational and performance experience, which in turn develops them into culturally enriched, caring, motivated, responsible, and goal oriented adults. These lessons are learned through an activity in which there is a blending of the arts and athletics called winter guard.

Winter guard utilizes the flags, rifles, sabers and dance traditionally associated with marching bands and drum corps and puts them in an indoor setting. This activity combines the beauty and pageantry of dance, the drama of theater, and the precision of marching band into one production. Pride participates in competitions with Winter Guard International (WGI).

Currently, this color guard thrills and inspires audiences at local shows in the Tri-State Circuit for Pageantry Arts and MEPA. Pride of Cincinnati also participates in several WGI sponsored regional contests. These regional contests lead to the World Championships to be held At the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio on April 10 - 12, 2003.
